At Monterey Car Week, Kia debuted the 2023 EV6 GT — the most powerful production vehicle from the brand. This performance-based electric vehicle takes things to the next level with its outstanding power and GT-focused design.
The new 2023 Kia EV6 GT builds on the existing EV6 with a dual-motor e-AWD powertrain that delivers a whopping 576 horsepower (compared to the original model’s max 320 hp). That setup also accounts for a 0-60 mph time of just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 161 mph, outpacing a Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder RWD and a Ferrari Roma in an independent, third-party test by AMCI.
It’s not just a power boost that the EV6 GT boasts. The performance model is equipped with upgrades like a dedicated sport suspension with electronically controlled dampers as well as unique front suspension components.
After completing a test drive of the new Kia EV6 GT, Car and Driver editor Mike Duff said, “Ride quality was very impressive. The GT gets adaptive dampers as standard, and even in their firmer mode, they handle bumps and dips with assured compliance.”
The 2023 Kia EV6 GT is expected to go on sale later this year and will come with a charging credit of 1,000 kWh at Electrify America stations. If you want to know more about when you can get yours, contact our team at Gossett Kia South in Memphis, Tennessee!
